These were some of the first costumes Alexander worked on. He started with the plain white base dresses and added their respective silver/gold embellishments & slit inserts to the dresses and shawls. He also tailored the back of the red dress to better fit the actor.
The Clouds (The Clouds)
These are photos of the clouds. Each of the 20 togas worn needed to be individually hemmed to the corresponding actor's height, and Alexander did several of these along with four other members of the costuming team. Alexander had the idea for the cloud puff collars and assisted in their creation; and soon after the above photos were taken, had the idea to add a light feature to them, as well as adding a light feature to the headresses of the Cloud Leaders (actors in green).
This is a matching skirt & top set that Alexander sewed together himself. Both crafted using scrap fabric, both pull on garments. The top was made to stay without adjustments, and the skirt used an elastic ribbon to tighten around the figure as needed.
